The ABCs of energy efficiency.  First priority is the Attic, then Basement, then the Central part of your home and building.   Our services includes recommendating solutions for the ABCs.  And solutions to make your own electricty with solar panels and alternative heating fuels like cord wood and pellets (much less expensive than oil and propane).

Energy Audit
Air Sealing
Attic and Wall Insulation

The energy audit is an analysis of your home from top to bottom to identify areas that need energy improvements.   Most homes have excessive air flow and insulation definitely not up to today’s energy code.

Sealing the penetrations and holes in your attic to prevent warm air flowing up into your attic is the first priority, followed by sealing places in basements that allow cold air to flow in.  And then look the center part of home.

Spray Foam
Solar - Produce Electricity

Spray foam is excellent for both air sealing and insulation improvements for existing and new homes.   The foam seals all penetrations and closed cell foam is resistant to moisture.

NH is a great place to go solar to make your own electricity.  Panels can be roof or ground mounted, and the electricity made does flow right into your panel box.   The State rebates and the 30% Federal Tax credits, and today’s financing make solar very economical, and no large cash investment is needed.

The proper level of insulation will drastically slow down the heat leaving your home in the winter and slow the heat entering the upper levels in the summer.   Most attic are well below energy code and lots of ice dams.   Cellulose works well.

Home Energy Inspections

The Home Energy Score is similar to a vehicle's miles-per-gallon rating. It helps homeowners and homebuyers understand how much energy a home is expected to use and provides suggestions for improving its energy efficiency.  It also allows homeowners to compare the energy performance of their homes to other homes nationwide.
